Commercial Steel Door with GPW Glass & Door Closer in King City
DoorWin installed a commercial steel door near Heritage Park with a GPW wired-glass vision lite and a surface door closer. The hardware controls closing and latching; it is not an automatic door operator.
A stronger steel opening, a narrow safety vision lite and controlled closing were completed as one coordinated commercial door installation.

The Problem
- The commercial opening needed more than a replacement slab.
- Staff required a view through the door, and the heavier steel assembly needed controlled closing so it could return to the frame and latch without slamming.
How We Fixed It
- DoorWin installed a new steel door, fitted a narrow GPW wired-glass vision lite and mounted a surface door closer on the interior side.
- The closer was adjusted to control the return swing and support consistent latching.
Project Clarification
This opening uses a mechanical door closer. No automatic operator, activation switch, sensor or powered opening system was installed on this project.
Door Closer and Vision-Lite Coordination
A commercial steel door works as a system. The glass provides a sightline, while the closer must match the door weight and frame geometry so the opening closes in a controlled way.
Final Result
The King City opening received a new steel door with clear sightlines, controlled closing and dependable latch engagement.
