Kicked-In Door and Forced-Entry Damage

Break-in damage repair focuses on the parts that keep an exterior door secure: the lock, latch, strike plate, frame or jamb, door edge, astragal, hinges or pivots and any adjacent glass. The first goal is an entrance that can close and lock.

Door Frame, Jamb and Strike Plate Repair

A new lock alone may not secure the property if the strike plate was pulled away, the frame or jamb split, the aluminum stile tore or the door shifted out of alignment. The complete opening is checked before the repair scope is confirmed.

Broken Locks and Hardware After a Break-In

Locks, cylinders, hinges, pivots, closers and other hardware are checked together with the door and frame. Serviceable openings may be reinforced, realigned or fitted with replacement hardware.

Can the Door Be Repaired or Does It Need Replacement?

A targeted repair may be suitable when damaged components can be restored and the opening can close and lock correctly. Severe door or frame damage may require planned replacement after the property is secured.

FAQ

Break-In Damage Repair FAQ

Can a kicked-in door be repaired?

Sometimes. DoorWin checks the door slab, frame or jamb, lock side, strike plate, hinges and alignment to determine whether reinforcement and repair can restore secure operation or replacement is required.

Can you repair a split door frame or jamb?

Repair may be possible when the remaining frame or jamb can still support secure fastening and hardware. Severe splitting, twisting or structural damage may require partial or full replacement.

What if the door will not lock after a break-in?

The problem may involve the lock, strike plate, frame or jamb, door alignment or more than one damaged component. DoorWin checks the full opening before confirming the repair path.

Do you repair residential and commercial doors after forced entry?

Yes. DoorWin assesses residential exterior doors, storefront entrances and commercial doors, including frames, jambs, locks, strike areas and related hardware.

Can you temporarily secure the opening?

Yes. Board-up or another temporary securing method may be used when the door or glass opening cannot be closed safely or permanent repair cannot begin immediately.

I’m very satisfied with my experience with this company! True professionals work here — everything was done quickly, efficiently, and with great attention to detail. The staff are very polite, kind, and pleasant to deal with. The prices are more than reasonable, especially considering the high level of service — everything is top-notch. I had a broken window, and they handled the job perfectly. What impressed me even more is that they came at night when other companies refused to help. Highly recommend!
