Completed Project
Foggy Window Glass & Crank Repair in Etobicoke
The customer had been advised to replace the windows because of foggy glass and broken cranks that prevented full closing. We found the windows were in good condition and could be repaired. On August 25, 2026, we replaced the affected sealed glass units, crank mechanisms and hinges in Etobicoke, Toronto.
All five photos show the condition before repair. Photos of the completed work are not included.

Replaced affected sealed units, crank mechanisms and hinges; retained the existing windows
The Problem
- The customer faced two problems: fogged sealed glass units and failed operating hardware.
- Broken crank mechanisms prevented the windows from closing fully.
- Although complete window replacement had been recommended to the customer, our assessment found the existing windows were in good condition.
How We Fixed It
- We replaced the fogged insulated glass units and the broken crank mechanisms and hinges.
- The existing windows and frames were retained.
- Addressing the glass and hardware separately allowed us to repair the affected components without replacing the complete windows.
