The Problem
- The facility needed a durable double-door opening with predictable closing on both leaves.
- Each door leaf needed its own closer to control the return swing.
How We Fixed It
- We installed the paired steel doors, mounted a surface closer on each leaf and adjusted the completed opening for controlled return swing and dependable closing contact.

Each manually operated steel door leaf has its own surface closer, adjusted for its weight and closing path.
Each Door Leaf Needs Its Own Closing Control
A double-door opening has two separate hinge lines and closing paths. Proper closer selection and adjustment should account for each leaf and the way the pair meets at the center.

No. The project used two surface door closers, one on each manually operated steel door leaf.
Why does a double-door opening need two closers?
